Common knowledge about paediatrics is known to everybody but something which we are not aware of is what new is happening in this world!Well, recently there was this new research which had mentioned about weight loss surgeries on kids. Well what I knew was, weight loss surgeries were done on adults only! But this was something new!
Well this weight loss surgery was carried out on 242 adolescents in U.S and results were astonishing! None of them had any injuries during the surgery and the strange thing is about 27% of the kids had a drop in their BMI! It improved quality of their life! This was generally proposed to avoid the problems which will be caused due to excess of weight! This is yet to be done in India! I hope it comes soon! By -Trishala
