Clinical Pharmacology - An Essence

Clinical pharmacologists are the wonder kids of the medical world. On their shoulders is the responsibility of integrating the know how of chemistry with the working knowledge of the human body and its physiological reactions to chemical compounds. This enables them to create and deliver the most optimal medications for various illnesses.

Clinical pharmacologists can be either doctors who have opted the specialization of pharmacology or can be researchers in the field itself, without a doctor background. Both types are well versed in human physiology and the workings and interactions of the body?s systems and organs. This allows them to synthesize the medicine according to the function and act in a manner that elicits the desired response from the tissue. These principal cores, coupled with the pillars of pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and dosage forms enable the clinical pharmacologists to bridge the gap between clinic and lab to bring top notch pharmaceuticals to cure the patient.

Know more about the doctor’s prescribed tests which can be avoided

Best Doctors in noida
We trust are doctors blindly because we think that everything that say has to be right. Yes, they say everything which is good for your health but this doesn’t mean that you won’t question your doctor. You should always be alert about something which is related to you! There are doctors who ask you to do unnecessary things which may not be required.
Here are few things which are useless but still some doctors ask us to do whereas there are some expert doctors who avoid the same: -
  1. C section in 39 weeks
  • Sometimes it is necessary to do the C section delivery but only when there is some kind of medical emergency but doctors these days’ force people to do c section deliveries because there is more to earn! Expert doctors say that c section without any medical emergencies, it might be risky for the baby. There might be abnormalities in the child. Always avoid c section unless there is any kind of emergency.
  1. Lipid profile tests

  • This is something which has come up in some recent studies. It says that the tests are not sufficient to determine the cholesterol levels and accuracy of the same is questioned by the expert doctors and they are also finding a new test which can be more accurate than this is 

DON’T PUT A BAN ON THIS PLASTIC, PLEASE ?

As mortal humans with a highly perishable exterior surface, we are bound to be able to manage with the ban on plastic items, but not on plastic surgery, which keeps our vanity intact! Plastic surgery is the miracle tool in the hands of gifted practitioners who use their “magic” to erase any trace of aging you might have developed, or to skillfully replace your grandmother’s nose which you were by some cruel joke of fate, stuck with, and replace it with the dainty little piece of art that happens to be the same as your favourite actress’s.
Brow lifts, face lifts, wrinkle smoothenings, botox, this lift, that lift, you name it, and you have it ! non cosmetically concerning organs such as ears can also be modified, whether the reason for said modification is medical or plain and simple vainful. Even though 90% plastic surgeries are done on women, men, too, are in the clutches of this addiction in the form of plastic surgery. It has been said (and I have found this to be alarmingly true) , that once you get one part of your body altered, you cannot stop it there!
You are compelled, by some unseen force, (of the plastic surgery gods, maybe), to keep going on, chiseling your body to “perfection”, part by part. So if you are a first timer and can’t wait to get into the plastic surgeon’s chair, do a double check, a triple check, even, on the importance of getting that surgery done. If you can’t find a reason to pull out, just make sure you don’t get hooked to it. Addictions can happen with anything, you see! By – Sukanya

IT’S NOT A FAITH IN TECHNOLOGY, IT’S ABOUT THE FAITH PEOPLE HAVE ON DOCTORS

Best thing about modernization is bringing medical knowledge into clinical practice. Doctors are a boon to this world. They are the most essential part of one’s life. Without doctors, life cannot be imagined. For once if we think that it’s okay if doctors won’t be there but what about the diseases? Will it stop? The answer is no, they won’t stop in fact they will be more deadly every single day.
In delhi, noida so far has the best set of doctors. Every specialist is found in NOIDA and this is what makes it a developed place. With MEDICOSA booking an appointment with these doctors has become even simpler. It is no longer important to stand in big ques for getting yourself checked. Book a prior appointment via medicosa and just visit the doctor. Isn’t it saving lots of time? Oh yes! It is..!

Most frequently visited doctor is a general physician. But it is very important for people to understand that some diseases can be cured only my specialists and not a general physician. Most of the times, if the case is severe, suggests those patients to go and show their case to specialist. But what if a doctor doesn’t suggest? It is very important that people should be aware of what is needed and at what time. Before visiting any doctor, it is very important to completely study about his/her profile. If there are any reviews mentioned about the doctor on the MEDICOSA site, please take those reviews seriously because a wrong doctor can risk your life. So don’t take any chances! Sometimes good doctors also give a bad impression! By - Trishala

ARE YOU HEALTHY ENOUGH?

The advent of technology has truly been a blessing to mankind. Not only has it made tasks simpler but also increased the efficiency a million times. We do not realize this, but technology has affected all of us, directly as well as indirectly. It has helped the economy and accelerated the growth process, it has made communication faster and simpler, reduced man work or labour and has changed our mindsets and the way we live our lives as well. It has also given us a lot of time for recreation.

Most of the people are spending this 'me time' on their interests and lifestyle habits. People are also prioritizing their health and working towards a fitter being. This is quite evident from the fact that you can easily spot a gymnasium or a health centre at every corner. A lot of celebrities are also promoting wellness on their social media networks. The government too is not lagging behind and is promoting healthcare through campaigning and various schemes. It is also promoting health care education in primary and secondary classes.

Physical education classes are held in school to not just promote wellness but also to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle. These classes also help the students develop interest in various physical activities and they bring laurels to the school, making it a win-win situation. Noida, a part of Delhi NCR and a premier city of the country homes excellent health care and recreation centres. It also has some of the best doctors and hospitals. By - Jessica

SEROLOGY – do we know?

Serology in noida
Our body is so marvelous and complex, that we aren’t even aware of half the things it is made of ! For example, we know we have a lot of blood coursing through our veins ( who doesn’t !?!), but do we know what all it is made of ? The recipe of complex and minute elements that amalgamate to form this life giving elixir is a mystery to most people.
Long story short, there is a component called serum found in our blood, which forms antibodies to fight infectious diseases. These antibodies are life saving to such an extent that the serum from a person who has recovered from a particular disease, can be used to treat a person suffering from the same disease, since the serum in question has successfully produced antibodies that have helped combat the disease, effectively creating an immunity. This is known as an “anti serum” and is a major part of what is called immunotherapy.
The study of serums is called serology, and serology can be and is being used to study patterns of diseases across populations, as well as the cause and effects of these diseases. Serology is an excellent example of how science, specially biology, can combine with other disciplines to work towards achieving the greater good. By – Sukanya

PUBLIC HEALTH: A SCIENCE

Public health is a combination of a number of fields, like anthropology, public policy, biology, medicine, psychology, and a lot more. Public health professionals identify problems and issues particular to a demographic and come up with plans and solutions to these problems. They develop policies and projects that help individual and group health efforts.
Public health is not rigidly confined to meaning a disease free population. It also implies that the population should be mentally satisfied and happy, as well as engaged in some productive activity. The fact that public health institutions have been mushrooming through out the country shows the government’s seriousness in churning out public health professionals who will, in turn, generate innovative and effective solutions to the existing problems.

It is also the duty of these public health professionals to organize task forces that roll up their sleeves and get to the very bottom of the pit, thus undertaking the task of giving health education to the most “at risk” group, the underprivileged sections of society. They must also ensure that healthcare is actually indeed accessible to the “public” that it is meant for and does not go into the wrong hands. Public health is thus and up and coming field which will integrate medicine with its social responsibility. By- Sukanya

MEDICAL PHYSICS: DOUBLE TROUBLE?

For patrons of the arts, like myself, these two words sound heavy enough to sink our artistic ship - Medicine and physics, both? Together? Seems like nothing short of a nightmare, and something, which is definitely beyond our comprehension. But sit back and relax.

There is nothing so complicated about medical physics that we cannot understand. As the self explanatory term entails, medical physics is the application of the principles of physics to the field of medicine. Medicine needs physics to have a curative effect. To arrive at a cure for a disease, physics is needed. For example, a patient shows symptoms like nausea, vomiting, headache and so on.

To identify the exact cause or to confirm suspicions, oftentimes an X ray is needed, and in more severe cases, a CT scan is needed. And that is where physics comes in. That’s it! That’s how simple the term and its meaning are. The fascinating comradeship of medicine and physics seeks to combat and destroy a number of diseases, which each field on its own could not have managed to do. So, there it is, the highly destructive sounding words, simply explained! By - Sukanya
