KEEP THE HEART’S SINE WAVE GOING!

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of cardiothoracic? If you’re a fitness freak, then you’ll probably think it is something to do with cardio/ cardiovascular exercise. This is pretty assumable because it contains the word cardio. In literal terms, cardiothoracic, a combination of two words is related to both the heart as well as the chest. Similarly, a cardiothoracic surgeon is a medical specialist who deals with problems of the heart and the lungs and performs the required surgeries.
For a person to operate on extremely important and sensitive organs of the body, it is important that he/ she is equipped with all the knowledge and technology used and is trained well or experienced. Highly experienced and know-it-all cardiothoracic doctors can be found on MEDICOSA, a networked health care ecosystem.
Recent trends have shown the increasing demand for a cardiothoracic surgeon. This is quite obvious because of the fast paced world in which we live, where people prioritize their work over health. The long working hours, whether manual or sitting in front of the laptop screens is bound to increase diseases among people. The most vulnerable lot is the young generation, bracketed between 18 to 35 years of age. The opening up of fast food joints and the increasing number of electronic gadgets have just aggregated this problem. Other unhealthy habits, like smoking, drinking, imbalanced diet are other reasons.

It is important that we look after ourselves and get regular checkups and tests done. In case of ambiguity, it is best to consult a doctor. Since our heart and lungs are very vital and delicate, we must ensure that we visit the right cardiothoracic surgeon. By - Jessica

IT’S NOT A FAITH IN TECHNOLOGY, IT’S ABOUT THE FAITH PEOPLE HAVE ON DOCTORS

Best thing about modernization is bringing medical knowledge into clinical practice. Doctors are a boon to this world. They are the most essential part of one’s life. Without doctors, life cannot be imagined. For once if we think that it’s okay if doctors won’t be there but what about the diseases? Will it stop? The answer is no, they won’t stop in fact they will be more deadly every single day.
In delhi, noida so far has the best set of doctors. Every specialist is found in NOIDA and this is what makes it a developed place. With MEDICOSA booking an appointment with these doctors has become even simpler. It is no longer important to stand in big ques for getting yourself checked. Book a prior appointment via medicosa and just visit the doctor. Isn’t it saving lots of time? Oh yes! It is..!

Most frequently visited doctor is a general physician. But it is very important for people to understand that some diseases can be cured only my specialists and not a general physician. Most of the times, if the case is severe, suggests those patients to go and show their case to specialist. But what if a doctor doesn’t suggest? It is very important that people should be aware of what is needed and at what time. Before visiting any doctor, it is very important to completely study about his/her profile. If there are any reviews mentioned about the doctor on the MEDICOSA site, please take those reviews seriously because a wrong doctor can risk your life. So don’t take any chances! Sometimes good doctors also give a bad impression! By - Trishala

PSYCHIATRY ; MIND GAMES, MUCH ?

Psychiatrist in Noida
Every lay person is familiar with the term “psychiatrist”. It is often used as a term for ribbing someone who is caught saying something unusual in a weak moment, and hence has been stamped with a negative connotation ever since. But, psychiatry is not something that needs to be feared or looked down upon. It is, in fact, a healing science. It is the profession that, for example, comes to the aid of a depressed 10th grader who contemplates taking his life under parental and performance pressure for the so called “board” examinations that are supposed to determine how the rest of his or life may turn out.
Psychiatry could help people who have gone through the or deals of child abuse, or women who have withstood domestic violence. Some issues take such a toll on people’s minds that mere psychological counseling is not enough for them to recover, and they need to seek the help of medication to get through the mental turmoil. Psychiatrists are licensed to issue these medications, according to the patients’ needs. There are hospitals and even independent clinics in Noida that focus on providing counseling for specific issues like marital problems, anger management, depression and what not. So if the problem exists and the resources to solve it exist as well, why think a 100 times before taking the leap towards help, just for the fear of what people may think ?  By - Sukanya

ONLINE MEDICAL ADVICE

Online medical advice is available which is a boon to mankind. In this busy lifestyle, a person doesn’t even bother to go and get himself checked if he is unwell because he “DOESN’T HAVE TIME”. Ignoring the illness or a symptom means inviting serious complications. So to manage time and keeping a track on the health, MEDICOSA has come up with this online medical advice which enables a person to get the best doctor for his/her disease. Within few steps the problem of time and health both are solved.

This is something very common but this has something which might help all of us to choose online medical advice and we can trust on MEDICOSA for the same. I remember one of college incident, my room-mate Neeta had a bad pain in a throat. She could not understand why it was paining. She ignored it for several days. Few days later the pain was unbearable. But because of busy college schedule she couldn’t find time to visit a doctor. Later she found out that she was suffering from acute tonsillitis with severe ulcers.

The disease had gone to an extreme state. She regretted about not consulting a doctor. What if Neeta could know about online medical advice? Her disease wouldn’t have worsened so much. Online medical advice helps in giving the patient about the idea of their disease however it is not the substitute for the health checkups in the hospital. It is very important to understand the difference between the same. By -Trishala

ARE YOU HEALTHY ENOUGH?

The advent of technology has truly been a blessing to mankind. Not only has it made tasks simpler but also increased the efficiency a million times. We do not realize this, but technology has affected all of us, directly as well as indirectly. It has helped the economy and accelerated the growth process, it has made communication faster and simpler, reduced man work or labour and has changed our mindsets and the way we live our lives as well. It has also given us a lot of time for recreation.

Most of the people are spending this 'me time' on their interests and lifestyle habits. People are also prioritizing their health and working towards a fitter being. This is quite evident from the fact that you can easily spot a gymnasium or a health centre at every corner. A lot of celebrities are also promoting wellness on their social media networks. The government too is not lagging behind and is promoting healthcare through campaigning and various schemes. It is also promoting health care education in primary and secondary classes.

Physical education classes are held in school to not just promote wellness but also to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle. These classes also help the students develop interest in various physical activities and they bring laurels to the school, making it a win-win situation. Noida, a part of Delhi NCR and a premier city of the country homes excellent health care and recreation centres. It also has some of the best doctors and hospitals. By - Jessica

PROCTOLOGY : OF THE NEGLECTED ORGANS DOWN SOUTH

Probably the only time we must have heard about colonoscopy would be while watching a Hollywood movie or sitcom, where the guy schedules a colonoscopy and comes out all irritated yet satisfied. This brings us to the fact that yes, we do have something called a colon, an entire colorectal system, in fact, that regulates how the food that enters our body exits it. Proctology is the study of the same system, which is made up of the anus, rectum and the colon, all of which determine waste regulation in our body. A number of problems may arise in the nether regions, like piles, constipation, hemorrhoids, colorectal cancer, anal cancer, albeit rare, anal fissures and what not. It is very common to see these problems among the general population and hence several proctology practices, and that too successfully, are running in the urban regions of Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon and the likes.
Diagnostic procedures for the colorectal abnormalities include colostomy, polypectomy, colectomy, strictureplasty, hemorrhoidectomy , colonoscopies etc. These are extremely vital to assist proctologists in colorectal surgeries. Technologies like sigmoidoscopy, defecating proctography, and proctoscopy are other vital technological tools used by proctologists to successfully alleviate the pain of their patients. So, since such a wide network of doctors thrive on the practice of proctology, it is needless to say that no one is alone in their problems of the excretory system, and help should be sought boldly and in a timely fashion.

SEROLOGY – do we know?

Serology in noida
Our body is so marvelous and complex, that we aren’t even aware of half the things it is made of ! For example, we know we have a lot of blood coursing through our veins ( who doesn’t !?!), but do we know what all it is made of ? The recipe of complex and minute elements that amalgamate to form this life giving elixir is a mystery to most people.
Long story short, there is a component called serum found in our blood, which forms antibodies to fight infectious diseases. These antibodies are life saving to such an extent that the serum from a person who has recovered from a particular disease, can be used to treat a person suffering from the same disease, since the serum in question has successfully produced antibodies that have helped combat the disease, effectively creating an immunity. This is known as an “anti serum” and is a major part of what is called immunotherapy.
The study of serums is called serology, and serology can be and is being used to study patterns of diseases across populations, as well as the cause and effects of these diseases. Serology is an excellent example of how science, specially biology, can combine with other disciplines to work towards achieving the greater good. By – Sukanya
