Not
all of us can boast of a 6/6 vision report card from our
ophthalmologist. In fact, a lot of people are made to wear glasses
from a very young age. Haven’t you felt heartbroken at least once
in your life on having seen a tiny child of hardly 5 years of age
burdened with the weight of those tolling glasses ? for some things
we can blame too much television, or in these days, laptops and
smartphones. For others, there is the infamous “gene pool” to
blame.
As
for the rest, they are just a product of unfortunate and unfavourable
circumstances, like having that itch in your eye due to pollutants in
the air or contracting conjunctivitis from an infectious friend , or
even strangers! The point that needs to be driven home is that eye
care is important , and so is the medicine that is prescribed as a
diagnostic or remedial measure. Ocular pharmacology can be as
simple as the eye drops you and eye use, to the liquid we keep our
contact lenses in. What is important is that we get our ocular
advice from certified professionals and put nothing but the best
quality products into our eyes. What would life be with impaired or
compromised vision, can you imagine ? So just be a little more
careful with yourself, and a little more sympathetic towards those
less fortunate.
