Acupuncture – the science of organismal functions.

Noida is one of those places in India, which promotes Acupuncture a lot. Basically, Acupuncture is a term that refers to the study of organisms, cells, tissues, body parts of organisms and their functional properties. It is a very broad sub – division of biology or the biological sciences. Acupuncture is such a branch that exists in integration with another sub – division of biological science, anatomy. However, they differ by a subtle difference – Acupuncture deals with the function of the body, but anatomy deals with the function of the body and its parts and organs.

Human Acupuncture is one of the main aspects of general Acupuncture. Noida however, in recent years, has adopted a more futuristic field or sub – branch of human Acupuncture, which is called exercise Acupuncture. Exercise Acupuncture refers to that form of study dealing in the physical exercises an individual undertakes. Very chronic cases of responses, and acute and critical adaptations of the body, its parts and organs, are integral parts of exercise Acupuncture.

Basically, exercise Acupuncture is used to study and take into the account the various effects of exercise on our Acupuncture, pathology and the varied mechanisms which help exercise to drastically reduce or even reverse in some cases, disease progressions. Researches in this field in Noida, have shown that the human brain itself receives around 20% of the total cardiac output of the body; but uses up and expends around 20-25% of the body’s total consumption of energy. It is also observed that energy consumption by the human brain is much higher during intense and strenuous physical exercises. It is thus seen that Acupuncture has advanced to a stage which was unimaginable even a few decades back from now. It is an indispensable part of biology and we hope, that it continues to progress and set higher limits for itself. By- Rounak Bose

A Drug will strive to save your life, and will fight to destroy it as well!

Clinical Pharmacology has been one of the most promising and developing fields of Medical Science.
About 70% of the total protocol for management of a particular disease depends on the use of drugs.
Amongst many, most commonly used drugs in a normal day-to-day clinical settings, are Analgesics and Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS/Narcotics).

Due to such rapid and a “4G” development, we now have drugs, for almost each and every areas of the body.
Whether it is Meningitis in the CNS, Irritation in the eyes Irritating Cough or Routine COLD, Cardiac Problems, Liver, Kidney Spleen Disorders, Gastric Disorders, Disorders of Urinary Tracts, or Basic Inflammation, Pharmacology has drugs for ALL!

However, the main issue, or what we commonly say, drawback, are the side effects.
Side effects of a particular drug, are the extension of the normal pharmacological actions of that drug, are normal, and can be seen in all patients.
Eg: Mild Itching on the forearm and hands in some patients after taking a moderate-to-high dose of Anti-Histaminic Drug.
However, in some instances, these Side-Effects turn out to be “Adverse”
Adverse effects are dangerous, and can prove fatal.

These are most commonly experienced following irregular high doses of drugs, or sometimes may be genetic in nature.
Eg: Haemolysis is induced in patients with G6PD Deficiency, after taking Sulphonamide.
By far, every effort is made, to make sure that the drug is safe for human use, but, as we say, nothing in this world can be perfect, except one, The Almighty! By- Dt. Trishala Chopra

NETWORKED HEALTHCARE ECOSYSTEM - MEDICOSA — The Work of an Oncologist

NETWORKED HEALTHCARE ECOSYSTEM - MEDICOSA — The Work of an Oncologist

Now this is weird. Why will my Body Kill Itself?

According to a recent study done by The Oncology Department Of New York, Cancers cannot be found in all parts of the body. A tumour can only be formed in a part/tissue, which favours its growth. Research E.g.: A Neoplasm cannot be found in Spleen (Because of its open sinusoidal blood pattern which does not allow tumour cells to stay in for long time in order to produce metastasis) According to a survey conducted by The Oncology Study & Research Group, Tokyo, Cancers can be inbound, or can be induced by some agents. They defined these agents as "Carcinogens"
Most common carcinogens which causes cancer are:
1. Anti-Cancer Drugs (Busulfan)
2. Epoxides
These agents induce Lymphoma & Bladder Cancer
1. Polycyclic Hydrocarbons- Cigarette Smoke, Tobacco, Fossil Fuel, Coal, Tar, Soot
These agents induce Lung Cancer (Bronchogenic Carcinoma) & Malignant Melanoma (Skin Cancer)
1. Betel Nuts (Supari)
It can cause Hepatoma-Cellular Carcinoma. In today’s scenario, it is inevitable to be safe from Polluted air, fossil burning and chemical pollutants. However, it is one's own choice to quit smoking and consuming tobacco, as these are cancer inducing agents. Most frequently in clinical setting, Chemotherapy is started as soon as a tumour is detected. The patient undergoes number of tests, including CT, MRI, PET to diagnose whether the tumour is benign or malignant. In cases of benign tumours, an oncologist prescribes drugs to destroy the tumour, under close observation.
In cases of malignant neoplasms,
Radiation Therapy is started as soon as the tumour is diagnosed, duration depending on the condition of the patient. It is viable that Radiation Therapy will damage other normal body tissues as the radiation used ionising, but as it is said, "You got to lose something, to earn something" By- Dt. The Diverse Kidney Specialists

kidney specialist in noida
The human kidney is a wondrous organ. Like the liver, the kidney performs many functions and has the responsibility of carrying out many a duty for the regulation and maintenance of the human body. Duties such as waste excretion, hormonal regulation, electrolyte and water balance and many others are the prime function of the kidneys.

It is no surprise, when we see that kidney specialists are many and diverse, based on the function and part they treat.

All kidney specialists come under the banner of urology, which deals with all the issues of the urinary tract, the main organ being the kidney. Specialties such as urology deal with most of the general workings of the kidney and its disease management, while others such as nephrologists are concerned with the tubules called nephrons that allow the kidneys to perform optimally. Other super specialists such as uro-oncologists deal exclusively with tumour conditions and related malignant afflictions of the kidney.

Quick Overview of Leprosy Treatment

Leprosy is one of the most stigmatized diseases in our country. This is in part because of the presentation of this bacterial illness. Leprosy, also called Hansen?s Disease, has a characteristic appearance by manifesting as skin lesions all over the body. The number of lesions are a hint of the severity of the disease. Another common symptom is the loss of nervous sensation in the periphery. Leprosy is differentiated into two main sub types, based on which treatment is set by the World Health Organization.

Paucibacillary leprosy, named as few number of bacteria are seen in the acid fast identification test, is combated by use of antibiotics Rifampicine and Dapsone. Multibacillary leprosy because of the high bacterial load is combated by use of antibiotics Rifampicine and Clofampicine to actively battle the high number of bacteria.
