Neurotology – the science of nervous system’s effects on the ear.

Noida is one of those places in India, which promotes Neurotology a lot. Basically, Neurotology is a term that refers to the study of organisms, cells, tissues, body parts of organisms and their functional properties. It is a very broad sub – division of biology or the biological sciences. Neurotology is such a branch that exists in integration with another sub – division of biological science, anatomy. However, they differ by a subtle difference – Neurotology deals with the function of the body, but anatomy deals with the function of the body and its parts and organs.
Human Neurotology is one of the main aspects of general Neurotology. Noida however, in recent years, has adopted a more futuristic field or sub – branch of human Neurotology, which is called exercise Neurotology. Exercise Neurotology refers to that form of study dealing in the physical exercises an individual undertakes. Very chronic cases of responses, and acute and critical adaptations of the body, its parts and organs, are integral parts of exercise Neurotology.
Basically, exercise Neurotologists is used to study and take into the account the various effects of exercise on our Neurotology, pathology and the varied mechanisms which help exercise to drastically reduce or even reverse in some cases, disease progressions. Researches in this field in Noida, have shown that the human brain itself receives around 20% of the total cardiac output of the body; but uses up and expends around 20-25% of the body’s total consumption of energy. It is also observed that energy consumption by the human brain is much higher during intense and strenuous physical exercises. It is thus seen that Neurotology has advanced to a stage which was unimaginable even a few decades back from now. It is an indispensable part of medical biology and we hope, that it continues to progress and set higher limits for itself. By- Rounak Bose

Pneumologists– caring for our respiratory systems.

Pneumologist, essentially, is a branch of medicine as well as physiology that deal with the respiratory systems of a human body. The main aim of pneumology is the maintenance of the proper functioning of the respiratory systems, examining disorders and diseases that plague the respiratory systems and effectively treating them. Advanced purposes of pneumology include medical procedures like dialysis or the replacement of respiratory systems or respiratory system donation and so on and so forth.
In Noida, there are a large number of physicians who specialise in respiratory system disease treatment. Patients suffering from acute disorder of the respiratory systems, haematuria, stones in the respiratory system or renal caliculi, electrolytic disorders, hypertension et cetera are all treated by these Pneumologists or renal physicians. Cancer in the respiratory systems is another developing branch of pneumology and the study of such diseases linked with cancer is known as Oncopneumology. A Pneumologist in Noida’s hospitals or health care centres can be expected to perform dialysis, transplantation of respiratory systems, biopsy of respiratory systems, management of fistula, biopsy of bones and other minor diagnosis of respiratory system related diseases.
In hospitals in Noida, respiratory system related abnormalities are detected by the Pneumologist prescribing a large number of imaging tests. These tests may range from a simple ultrasonography or an ultrasound test, and CT scans  to advanced angiographies, MRI s, or even scintigraphy, which is a very significant part of nuclear medicine. Renal physicians can provide a large arsenal of treatment options like plain medications, or blood products or even surgical procedures like urology, vascular surgery et cetera, dialysis, respiratory system transplantation or replacement, and so on and so forth. All of this goes on to show how much pneumology has progressed till today, and what a very important role Pneumologists play in this era. By- Rounak Bose

Endocrinology in a Nutshell..

The endocrine system is a peculiar system on its own. It can be considered to be a full fledged link system that activates or deactivates the actions of certain organs to achieve certain effects on the body. Yet the constituents of the system do not involve complete organs, rather is an intricate network of parts of whole organs and glands that work in unison to achieve the optimization of the other systems of the body.

The Endocrinologist is a specialist doctor that is well versed in the systemic working of the endocrine system and has in depth knowledge of the glands like thyroid, pituitary, suprarenals, and the endocrine half of the pancreas. Most endocrine diseases are hormonal imbalances due to congenital or acquired changes in the synthesis and secretion of the hormones and compounds secreted by the glands. By- Amaan

What does the thyroid do?

The Thyroid gland is one of the very vital organs in the human body. An endocrine organ, it secretes a hormone that, in terms of comparison with other secretions, plays a very important role in the basic regulatory mechanisms of the body that maintain it. The function of the thyroid gland, is to maintain the body’s metabolites and control the basal metabolic rate.

This is achieved by the hormones T3 and T4 that are forms of the same hormone which have varying action on various organs that perform metabolic functions. As simple as this sounds, complications in this process can lead to varying ailments that can become chronic requiring constant management and care. This is managed by the thyroid specialists of the medicine world. Endocrinologists with special emphasis on the thyroid, these doctors are skilled in the care and management of thyroid diseases and disorders. Most common treatment modes are medicinal drugs and surgical intervention to cure hyper or hypo thyroidism. By- Amaan
