The main motive behind using acupuncture is to get relief from the pain.

Apart from this, Acupuncturists treat a variety of medical conditions or some kind of symptoms, or if there are any side effects with respect to any condition for example is a person is suffering from some kind of chronic pain were chronic means for a longer time ad examples of chronic pain is headache, back pain or an arthritis condition. PACS healthcare-a new vista to advanced medical imaging.

Images, in medical diagnosis, are of utmost importance in this era. They speak volumes about the condition of the patient. And so, it is imperative that one also develops on the storage and retrieval methods of these images. Gone are the days of traditional film-based medical imaging and storage. PACS is here- a new addition to the arsenal of advanced health-care services provided to the common man. A PACS is a form of medical imagery, the technology being utilised to efficiently store and allow ease of access to images or other similar documents from a large set of origin systems.

There are four components of a PACS; there are source applications for medical imaging, a robust networking system, workstations and most importantly, the online archives where data is stored and retrieved from. Now, if the PACS healthcare is merged with the advanced web tech of the recent era, this form of healthcare service will not only eliminate the time and distance barriers, usually attributed to traditional films of images, but will also be efficient enough to provide correct and real-time imagery when needed. It is working wonders.

The PACS is ably developed to operate on images of different sources, with the likes of the ultrasound imaging, MRI images, nuclear medicinal images, PET and CT scan images, mammograms, histopathology et cetera. New image extensions are being included to make sure that operations can be performed on them too.The shift from the traditional and cumbersome film-based image processing to this new futuristic concept has brought up cost-related issues, but then, everything in life comes at a price, doesn’t it? Telemedicine-the new trend

It is by far the prime method of healthcare service delivery in the near future. It is the niche that will be provided to us to maintain the efficiencies needed in affordable healthcare provisions. And in India, it is taking the health market by storm. Telemedicine in India is a product of the 20th century high-tech innovations, allowing for interactive sessions amongst the patients and the medicos, all the while, maintaining the privacy and integrity. It also involves the sending of medical images and health data across channels.

It can be roughly classified into 3 main branches based on the type of service provided; store-and-forward telemedicine, real-time interaction sessions, and remote monitoring of patients. The Telemedicine Society of India, a government initiative, providing Telemedicine and online health-care is not the only provider in this field. It is backed by many growing and developed private institutes serving this premium feature.

This new addition to the array of medical services is highly beneficial to those people who live in remote places and inaccessible communities. They receive intensive care from specialists online, without having to travel for solutions to their medical maladies. Online patient visits and prescription generation and h-drug administration reduces drastically the cost of medical services.

On the darker side, huge expenditure is involved n the setting-up and initialising of this process. It also reduces face-to-face interaction and totally removes the play of emotions.  Despite all its flaws, telemedicine in India is maturing to an advanced level at a high rate. In this era, when the average consumer carries out almost all of his day to day activities online, it is definitely not a surprise that healthcare and advanced medicine departments should also be handled in the same fashion.

E-health records-the need of the hour...

Thousands of patients die every year from medical errors that can be forestalled. Standing in this scenario, it is quite imperative that we adopt the new technologies in the market. This is bound to improve the way health records are maintained all over the world, drastically. The Patient Protection and Affordable Healthcare Act being passed in the recent past, e-health records have been widely accepted across organisations in India and abroad, small and big.

An EHR is an electronic version of the medical data of any individual, maintained by the service-provider and including all the main administrative as well as clinical data which is significant for that person’s care, including statistics, progress memos, diagnosis reports et cetera. However, in India, around 60% of online patients claim to possess an EHR, roughly 20% of them utilise it for more efficient medical care supply.

The advantages include improved high rate of availability of data, allowance to digitalised medicos for entering orders from customers, efficient payment systems, encumbrance to health issues, and enormous comfort of access. The dark side however, entails lack of interactive ability amidst EHRs, extremely high expenditure for setting-p and maintenance, delays in database-entries as well as an ever-lasting updating system.

Assessing new technology on the rise, implement a new set of processes, managing workflows and recognising and deleting garbage value before taking to the society a new EHR system, will drastically help to better effectuation, build up communication, and de-limit non-value added work. This ultimately will lead to an increase in the acceptance of this feature in India to a greater degree.
